The Governor,Central Bank of Nigeria
(CBN), Godwin Emefiele, has said CBN will resist any review of the country’s
laws seeking to enact a law to jail Nigerians keeping foreign currencies in
their houses.
Premium Times reports the governor
saying “There is nothing in the current or extant foreign currency regulations
that says people should be jailed, or their foreign currencies confiscated. I
advise people to stop listening to rumour mongers and go about their normal
businesses.”
Despite the fact that he stated the bank was once

“The CBN has
