The Central Bank of Nigeria, Owerri Branch has said that bag of rice is now purchased at N13,000 in some states
The Head, Development Financing Department, CBN, Owerri Branch, Mrs Nkechi Osuji, Head development Financing made the statement at a sensitisation workshop organized by office Special Assistant to Exexutive Governor of Imo State Rochas Okorocha on "Human Capacity Development and Poverty Alleviation" in Owerri.
Osuji confirmed that the imrovement was because of new agricultural techniques and programs introduced to the agricultural system. Now, 50kg bag rice is sold at N13,000 in some states that have clinced the Anchor Borrowers Programme.
