Senate rejects NCC nominee that says senate should be scrapped

The National assemby had on thursday rejected the name of nominee for the position of National commisioner of NCC, A member of the NCC Governing board, Mr Aliyu Abubakar.

Mr Aliyu Abubakar was one of those who participated in the #OCCUPYNASS campaign seeking end to bicameral legislature, scrapping the senate and removal of Bukola Saraki as senate president.

When asked during his screening at the senate on october 18, 2016 on why he partcipated in the protest against the sebate he maintained his stand and still insist that the senate should be scrapped, they are avenue of wasting countries resources.

The senate said Mr Abubakar's response shows that he is not ready for the responsiblities of his office.

However, the senate approved other five nominees on the board

But the question is, is it really true he is not ready for the responsiblities of the office ?  or its the senate not ready to approve his name for the office ?
