Borno now safest place to live in Nigeria, Gov. Shettima claims


Borno State Governor, Kashim Shettima has claimed that  Borno State is now one of the safest places to live in Nigeria.

Kashim Shettima stated this in Bauchi on Tuesday while addressing the Batch B National Youth Service Corps members deployed to Borno state who are undergoing thier orientation in Bauchi state.

Kashim Shettima assured the corps memebers that Borno state is now safe, even safer than, Abuja, Lagos and many states in Nigeria.

 “With all sense of responsibility and honesty, am saying that the worst in Maiduguri is over. Borno is now on
the path to sustainable peace." he said

He continued, “Maiduguri is now safe even more than Lagos, Abuja and many other state capitals in Nigeria,” he said.

Gov. Shettima expressed his happiness with the corps members for leaving their homes to serve their coutry and he assured them he will give them all the necessary assistance and security in thier service period.

He further expressed his gratitude to Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, for accommodating Borno State corps members.
